About Cynthia Cash, Landscape Architect
A native of Memphis, TN, now living in Baton Rouge, LA, Cynthia has over 39 years of experience in the field. With a degree in Horticulture as well as a Masters in Landscape Architecture (LSU), she is also licensed in three states; LA, TX, and MO. Projects range from commercial, to large residential, to small residential. Her driving philosophy is to create an improved, more sustainable environment following site & client directives while minding budget & time.

Once the scope of the project, intended goals, and 'wish list' are known, an estimated Design Fee, based on current hourly rate, can be provided. Fees are not percentage based. In addition, hourly consultation is available for updating maintenance and/or planting renovation. Quotes upon request.

  • Education: Bachelor of Science, Horticulture, University of Tennessee, 1976; Masters of Landscape Architecture, Louisiana State University, 1983.

  • Practice Experience: Jon Emerson, Landscape Architect, 1980-1983; Andrew Hart, Landscape Architect (1st registered Landscape Architect in Louisiana), 1983-1989; Self-Employed since 1989.

  • Teaching Experience: Adjunct Professor, LSU, Department of Landscape Architecture, 2000-2003. Classes taught: 1) Landscape Plant Materials, and 2) Landscape Planting Design.

  • Past Commercial Projects: United Plaza Office Park, Two United Plaza, Nine United Plaza, The Advocate Newspaper (new campus on Reiger Rd), Budweiser/Mockler Beverage (new distribution center on Reiger Rd), Campus Federal Credit Union (Perkins Rd), Baton Rouge Waterworks (Goodwood Blvd), CVS Pharmacy (Lee & Highland), Iberia Bank-4 (Highland Rd, Essen Lane, Coursey Blvd, and Perkins Rd), St. Charles Parish Library, and Raising Cane's Restaurants (now up to Store # 739 nationwide).
